Our Legacy

Last year, the LMMS PTSA accomplished the following:
- Bought an agenda for every child.
- Provided teachers with grant money to improve and facilitate learning in their classrooms.
- Educated our children on the dangers of drug abuse during Red Ribbon Week.
- Educated parents on the realities our children face during seminars offered throughout the year.
- Listened to parents surveyed and provided a seminar on “Bullying in the Digital World”.
- Listened to the community and helped educate both parents & students on the responsibilities and laws affecting teen drivers.
- Provided teachers with duty free lunches.
- Provided students with pizza parties.
- Rewarded students who have achieved academic excellence.
- Tested the hearing & vision of all 7th grade students and students new to LMMS for free.
- Provided an email communication system.
- Provided a PTSA website to keep parents up to date on events offered (www.lostmountainptsa.org)
- Provided a school store open every morning for our students.
- Provided office, media center, and picture day volunteers.
- Provided the 8th Grade Dance, Teacher Appreciation Week, the End of Year Olympics and more!
- Bought a Document Camera for LMMS
- Framed Art Work created by Lost Mountain students to be hung on the Walls of the school.
We thank you for your support and look forward to our members working together again this year. It takes all of us to create an efficient and effective organization. Our children need our support and involvment in their lives. Please check out our goals and see where you are willing to volunteer and make a difference for all our children.
