Lost Mountain Middle School’s 4Quarters 4Research Week
Benefiting Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research
November 2-6, 2009
We RALLY to honor four “official” Rally Kids who attended LMMS:
Alexa, Krystle, Leigh & Tyler!
Their stories are used nationally to promote childhood cancer research!!
From coast to coast, schools are being inspired by our own.
Please join LMMS as it is our time to RALLY for our own!
Save your change & get ready to Rally for Childhood Cancer Research with Lost Mountain Middle in Kennesaw!The week of November 2nd -6th, Lost Mountain Middle is sponsoring 4Quarters 4Research to benefit the Rally Foundation, an Atlanta-based charity raising money for childhood cancer research. This fundraiser honors four former LMMS Students. We honor Alexa’s memory (a LMMS student last year) and Tyler’s memory (a young man diagnosed as a 7th grader at LMMS who fought cancer until age nineteen). We honor the lives of Krystle (a junior at Harrison) and Leigh (a Harrison graduate & current college senior).
Students will bring donations to school on Friday, November 6th. This is a special opportunity for us to support childhood cancer research. Because of our unique situation, LMMS would like to invite our community to Rally with us.
Drive by donations will be accepted on Friday, November 6th throughout the day (from 9:30-3:30). Please help us honor the lives of Alexa, Krystle, Leigh, Tyler, & so many others. Help LMMS meet a specific request from Clarkdale Elementary & replace their 40 destroyed portable stereos & classical music!!
How can YOU help?
1) Donate money for boomboxes!
Make checks payable to Lost Mountain Middle School (designated Clarkdale Relief – Operation Boombox).
No donation is too small!
2) Donate new & “gently used” classical music CDs & tapes!
Place in LMMS Cares boxes at school.
Any donations above what is needed to purchase boomboxes will be used to assist Clarkdale with other specific needs.
Helping Hands Community Service Club is coordinating this school-wide effort.
Donations of general school & teacher supplies are no longer needed.
